    W. F. A. Turgeon was son of Onesiphore Turgeon, a distinguished Acadian who served 22 years in the House of Commons and another 22 in the Senate. W. F. A. Turgeon was a member of the Privy Council of Canada and a member of the judicial system for more than 20 years. He received the Order of Canada medal in 1967.
